Berenfield Containers, originally Berenfield Barrel Company, was founded in Pittsburgh in 1914. Still a privately-held business, Berenfield is now headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company operates steel drum manufacturing plants in Mason, Ohio, Harrisburg, N.C., Pine Bluff, Ark., Warren, Pa., and Clarendon, Pa., as well as a fibre drum plant in Easton, Pa.
As a technical innovator, Berenfield Containers has been at the forefront of industrial packaging production in the US, serving a diverse customer base. Lubricants, metals, chemicals, food products, and pharmaceuticals are representative of American made products shipped in Berenfield packages around the country and around the world. Employing approximately 300 people, the company's product line includes a full range of standard steel drums, fibre drums, steel/poly composite drums, ISO Open Head Steel Drums, and ISO Tight Head Steel Drums.
